Palm Springs, California 3/9/19 - 3/16/19

There was a winter storm warning in effect when we left Minneapolis but the snow Gods were with us and we got out before anything but a little rain appeared.

We got our car rental (a jeep) and headed for our vacation rental.
The Palm Springs airport was the easiest I've ever been to, across the hall from the baggage claim was the car rentals and the car was a few steps just out the door.

Home rental was close and easy to find.  It's owner treated us like family and recommended some great food.  Giuseppe's for the best Italian food.

The rental came with numerous citrus trees, pool and spa, a tiki hut, great mountain views along with the most comfortable beds and a few cats.

We visited The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens

Some famous statues around town.

Suppose to be Lucille Ball

Sunny Bono when he was mayor

Marilyn Monroe

We visited Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve

Very cool and worth the trip.  Was smaller than I expected.
